For the just the second time in their history, the Bluecoats of Canton, Ohio are the DCI World Champions.
The 2024 DCI season all came down to the finals on Aug. 10 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis as the 12 best corps this summer competed for the world championship.
After two grueling days of competition where the field of more than 30 corps was cut to 25 in the quarterfinals and then whittled down to 12 in the semifinals, the best of the best took over Saturday night.
And it was the No. 1-ranked and lone undefeated corps who took the top prize.

The Bluecoats --the DCI Southwestern Champions, the DCI Southeastern Champions and the corps with the top score at the DCI Eastern Classic-- capped off the season with a score of 98.750 to win its first DCI championship since 2016.
The Bluecoats also won three Caption Awards, including Best Brass, Best General Effect and Visuals.
The defending champion Blue Devils finished third while the Boston Crusaders were second.
